Fellow David Fakunle defended his dissertation at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, looking at the factors that lead to place-based disparities and how the placement and prevalence of tobacco outlets influence communities at a population level, forcing policy makers to address structural issues such as racism.

Race & Equity Series with Dr. Lawrence Brown. First stop, National Blacks in Wax Museum, followed by a discussion on historical trauma and the education system at Visionary Partner Organization Eubie Blake Center.
