About: Green Street Academy is a public charter school located in Baltimore, MD, founded in 2010. The school’s mission is to prepare middle and high schools students in Baltimore City for college and careers in the 21st century economy.
The Green Street Academy student experience includes a focus on traditional academic success and pre-professional career training. All entering middle school students are assessed, their academic pathways planned, including remediation and counseling, and their progress monitored. The school’s goal is to ensure all students reach grade level in reading and math when they begin high school. High school students continue to fulfill their academic requirements as well as receive pre-professional training, leading to meaningful internships and certifications en route to either higher education or a career path of their choosing.
