Cameron Pollock, SparkVision
Cameron's Fellowship:
As Research Director at SparkVision, Cameron is working to break down negative stereotypes around the Millennial generation. He is conducting qualitative and quantitative research on the unique values this generation brings to the table, to better understand how the workplace can treat its youthful population with greater support and understanding. The research will be brought to life through creative multimedia.
Background:
Cameron moved to Baltimore in the summer of 2013 and knew within about a week or two that he had stumbled into a special place. He has since worn a number of different hats: neuroscience lab technician, elementary school teacher, environmental advocate, clinic volunteer, musician - just for starters! His path to finding his purpose has led him to Baltimore Corps because he feels solving today's most pressing problems requires social engagement, and is looking forward to making a difference.
Why do you choose to live and work in Baltimore?
Baltimore captured my heart soon after moving here. I believe it's something to do with the size - the perfect recipe for close-knit communities, strong local identities, and opportunities to make a big impact. I fell in love with these communities and people, and plan to stick around to create my own story here.
