comm+university

Comm-University is a community-service-focused campaign that seeks to decrease the gap between college campuses and the communities they serve through college student and community youth engagement with one another through dialogue. 

Oftentimes, area colleges do outreach that is not sustainable for communities or are temporarily based on the interest of the university and its constituents. Comm+University provides a space for those interested in service and those receiving services to discuss how to collaborate while also promoting racial healing, community engagement, and cultural understanding through open dialogue. The dialogues facilitated through programming in community spaces are designed to be mutually beneficial, and to bridge gaps in hopes of promoting intentional and meaningful connections between the two populations within one community.
