Position Overview

Fellows are placed in full-time, paid positions with employer partners across the Baltimore City government. These roles are designed for high-potential early-career professionals eager to develop leadership skills, contribute to meaningful projects, and grow within a values-driven organization.

Salary & Benefits

  • Competitive salary 
    • For individuals with a bachelor’s degree, your starting salary will be $51,500. Your starting salary will be $65,000 if you have a graduate degree.
  • Health, vision, and dental insurance are included.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate (2020-2025) or early-career professional with 0-3 years of experience.
  • Passionate about leadership, innovation, and creating positive change.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Open to feedback, eager to learn, and adaptable in dynamic environments.

Location & Work Authorization

  • Positions available throughout Baltimore City government agencies (currently, the city operates on a hybrid schedule with 3 office days required per week, subject to change).
  • U.S. work authorization is required.

Program Eligibility Requirements

  • Recent graduate (2020-2025) of a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) in Maryland.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Willing and able to work in Baltimore City.
  • Availability to participate full-time for the duration of the Fellowship. The Fellowship is 12 months long and employment placements are contractual for one year.
  • At least 2 years of professional, internship, or volunteer experience.
